Description
I've been picking this set of chords on my guitar for a long time. When I finally started to translate chords into GarageBand, I laid these out the way I like to play them. Am, C, Am, C, F, C, F, C, Dm, G7, C, F. That Dm, G7, C, F, change feels like an explanation to me.

The guitar in this is the "Nylon Shimmer" instrument in GarageBand with Track Echo, Phaser and Chorus effects. The echo and tremolo effects deepen the sound nicely.

The percussion is claypot-- one of those instruments you just have to figure out a way to use (like cowbell or baritone saxophone).

Would be very interested in ideas to elaborate on this-- it's composed of just three tracks currently.

yoyo
i liked the initial phase/flange effect on the one sample.and the percussion was dope. seems like a start you should try and expand this. I was picking up a lot of low end though, you might want to look into that..just a constructive suggestion..cool track though.

thank you for the input
If you could elaborate on what you meant by picking up a lot of low end, I'd appreciate it. Were you talking about sound problems or about the balance between low and high tone?

Thanks again!

NIce exercise
The drums are what catches me in this, its the way the keys kind of bounce off the drums. enjoyed this thanks!

Short and sweet explanation

..it does get a bit repetitive though. The claypot is very organic .. without shifting them into drums .. it's hard to keep them and not add other organic world instruments (anything at all really). I would ease off on the phaser and chorus effects .. or vary their parameters a bit over time.

Arragement wise it could do with at least one more section imo.

Mix is good, hard not to go wrong with 3 tracks :o) .. I liked the use of Tremolo for the auto panning... and is there some light auto-filter on the claypot percussion? It sounded like it's tone was changing over time.

Thanks for sharing- keep adding, will be interesting to hear it progress.

Cool pic btw .. made me laugh anyway. :o)
