Description
Once more sorry for genre placement. It would be so helpful if you could try and label my stuff for me lol.

How Brave You Are... sometimes you have too call your Demons out by name, spank them and put them in their proper perspective, which is often directly behind you. It can be scary as we try too move into a new phase of life and leave what bedevils us behind. This song is a movement of making a decision and saying "Im done" and almost happily moving through it...almost, until you see them in your minds eye behind you on their lonely path.... keep moving... the unknown is better than this.

ambient works for me
the gauzy opening with brisk cello and suspended strings is very nice.
interesting fade-outs of various sections - i enjoyed hearing how you handled those transitions. good change of intensity at 2:30 and the Beef enters at 3:15. cool ride!

how brave you are
another fine job using transitions to travel through the song. when i listen to your musice, i find its like slowly moving around a corner to discover what awaits me there. i think ambient suits your music just fine. interesting piece - thanks for sharing with us!

A!ways a pleasure :D
I do love this place!

Thats pretty much where Im always coming from I guess. This CD... it wasnt completely intentional but the songs all have that transitioning quality. The next projects Im lining up will be a bit more traditionally arranged I think. After all these songs were just a journey getting here and here is another journey.... Oh dear lol, maybe not !

Very nice
great full sound. I'm never sure about genres either, so much crosses boundaries it seems to me. I don't actually think it's that important. There's some wonderful orchestration in this one so maybe it's orchestral! It has a "worldy feel too. I'm loving the tempo changes - wish I could do that!

Nice one.

You sooo can do that!
really just take a shot at it! If you want any guidance on it message me! Id be super happy too help you with any tips. Yeah I think Im going with ambient for almost anything these days, if they dont have an ambient genre where I upload at they can always be electronic. Yeah the crossover and hopscotching across genres is par for teh course these days. Genre bending! fun!

I wish they
would do away with 'genres' altogether.
Another very creative piece beautifully done.

Thankies to ya!
Me too... though I imagine later on they will come to be representative of songs that are of a pure genre. New Music tends to cross over everywhere so maybe music will at last just be music.

how brave
yes keep moving...there is a thrilling urgency to the pacing of this - more of an adventurous anticipation than a desperate escape. lovely percussion and staccato strings. great use of sounds all around. very creative, as usual. sorry it took me so long to get here. this is one of my favorites of your recent pieces. very cool.

No download?
Oh well. Great listen and very inspiring. Truely enjoyed your desciption of this piece. All music should come with liner notes. Only proble with your liner notes were that they made me want to download this all the more. Excellent music!!

Absolutely!
Life can steam roll us. Learning takes place, often at a dear price. I was called brave once, about three years ago. I think I had no choice. I did something as unfathomable for me as diving out of of an airplane without a parachute. But making up one's mind to act is better than indecision. Procrastination only gives the power to control to time. We know the past and if we don't like it, why stay there? Wonderful composition. Thanks.
