Nite Ride

 Genre: Acoustic Rock

This song started from miking up an old bongo ang getting a sound like a horse trot..wound up using it with a base drum as the back beat. Another collaboration with Chris "Fury" who adds some great guitarwork. Final mix will sound a bit more fluid, but in the meantime..take a listen and share your thoughts. Thanks -"Jayrodd" and "Fury"

Nite Ride
Great build up intro and then fades into some fine acoustic with a back beat how cool. Some fine playing and the arrangement is awsome. Great track. Thanks, Russ

Up the Irons!
nice harmonies here and i love a good gallop, just don't hear enough of them anymore! (outside of a Maiden concert).
this is a constantly evolving tune and I noticed a neat key change or two. nice work.

right then ...
First time through I was wanting the backing instruments [ is that the strat as well?] up maybe a bit more. Lovely acoustic work really. The track has really nice movement and changes keep it interesting. Last electric solo could come up a bit more front. But this is all based on personal preferences and bottom line ... beauty and well performed.

the clarity of the guitar is great !!
but maybe take back the treble a bit.

there's a lot of MOVEMENT and DYNAMCIS in there !!

i like the base drum that underlines the whole track !

and the solos are terrific !!!

thanks a lot for sharing !!

cheers, Luke

hi jay - sorry it took me so long to get here - this is a very creative idea, and you've pulled it off very very well. the bongos make good horse hooves, i see why you centered the song around them. i love your guitar solos - this is just extremely well done - congrats to you both!

very nice
guitar work. i love those beats in the drums, driving intensity along with the rhythm guitar strums. i also really love when it all falls away and the guitar comes in soft and solo with the electric supporting it gently. this is really a beautiful journey. i would have loved a download! great work guys.

Nice mix of guitars
Nice track, especially the lead. There are a few times where the lead is slightly rushed, and in a track like this the lead voice should usually be behind the beat, if not on, in my ears, anyway. The section in the 6-7 minute range, I think the electric lead is too soft. Also, the acoustic rhythm playing, by the end, seems to lose immediacy for me; perhaps it needed moire intensity or variation in playing (like Richie Havens would do). But the track was enjoyable, well done.
