Description
I posted Mexico A Go-Go just the other day http://www.macjams.com/song/53990. I gave it a another listen based on some comments and tweaked it a bit by adding some lead parts and messing with the mix. I have decided I'd best share it with you all. Hop you like the re-work.

THAT was fast!
OK then...Everything I said about version one still applies.

The lead parts do fill the emptier spots in rather nicely.

DANG. Now I have an uncontrollable urge to don my tropical shirt!

Be well friend!

I was in work late today so I had time on my hands. Nice when that happens. Glad you are still a fan.

nice
now i'm in chill mode. that piano sounds great, real or software? nice arrangement too. wasn't expecting the guitar to come in; things really pick up at that point. you should put this under another genre so more people hear it; i have a feeling that some people are just turned off by the term ambient. really nice.

The piano is software, played by me, with one loop on the bass bit. I think it was trance piano in GB, I will get back to you on that on. I would like to have put it down as Chill-out but that is not a catagory. What do you think of Trance? What do you suggest?

well
doesn't sound like trance; if it were my tune I would probably go with either downtempo, or cinematic. i could see this in a film, although sometimes i feel like people expect some sort of schmaltzy string laden drama when they click on cinematic (although i post things there anyways).

Island Feeling
I love that change near mid point, and that latin island feel.
I write similar music. I really like the light presence your music emanates.

Hi Martin.......
If this is what you come up with after a holiday in Mexico then you must have enjoyed the break. It is so evocative of good times, feel good and letting your hair down. A great mix. All the elements of the mix fit together very well.

Take care.

I am so glad you liked it. Yes it is made by the Kiso Susuki Violin Company, made 1976. I think the WT-100 means in cost 100yen when new and it is a western style body. Finding out stuff about them is very hard. I used it on the last guitar break toward the end. Got a lovely tone, despite its age.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Life is too short for regrets, just embrace the groove, embrace the life, go forth and create. Well that is my philosophy. If you listen, you will hear.... [see more]
