Description
I quited smoking about 6 weeks now.. maybe even longer. I noticed I started drinking more during this period.. which is odd since I've had so many bad experiences with people who drink too much.
So I decided that I won't drink another drop of alcohol anymore after today.

This is a loopversion and a non loopversion is in the making... I keep you posted!

Lyrics
A Man Who's Drinking
written by JayLCiazz©2009
o0o™ Records.

I cry for you
Cause you're such a sad man.
why do you do
all these things a child would do

Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be

I cry for you
Cause you're such a bad plan
I do for you
All these things that you should do

Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be

A man who's drinking, is
A man who's sinking, is
a man who's thinking his
world is all about him

A man who's drinking, is
A man who's shrinking, is
A man who's stinking, this
world won't fall about him

I cry for you...
Cause you're such a mad tan
My oh my you
all these things that you could do

Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
But I can tell you

Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
Can't tell you who you need to be
But I can tell you
You're not for me.

A man who's drinking, is
A man who's sinking, is
a man who's thinking his
world is all about him

A man who's drinking, is
A man who's shrinking, is
A man who's stinking, this
world won't fall about him

very pretty...
simple music, but strong singing and nice harmonizing.

Welcome to Macjams, very nice vocal work! I think I'll just go send some other friends over to listen to this now :-)

Good luck kicking those habits... I wrote (and tried to sing) a song about this too, called "Toxic Desire". The only reason that song is any good is because a couple of other Macjammers really made it sound good, thanks BorisLuxx & Roxylee!

ttfn,
Drakonis

How nice of you!
To send some friends over. Realy appreciated Drakonis. I'm on a rollercoaster if it comes to leaving addictions...I believe 2 months ago I stopped using mariuhana, 2 weeks later I stopped smoking sigarettes and almost 2 weeks ago I stopped drinking.. my body goes through a whole lot of changes but mentally I must admit I do amazingly well... I'm looking forward to hear your toxic Desire".

I will write a comment that makes sense after I finish listening to a horror story.
I'll be back.

Hey Char
I just told Drak how nice of him it was to send some friends over... and glad to see you made it too..
P.s. if the horror is any good, please fill me in.. Horror is my kinda genre...if it is fiction and not real of course.. in the last case... I hope it won't ruin yours or anyone elses day/week/month and/or life for that matter...

Oh yes!
What is better than one Jay...why a couple more. Lovely vocal work and quite elegant lyric in its simplicity. Welcome here. Sent links. Thanks for this.

Thank you Feter!
I appreciate it a lot that you've taken the time to listen and leave a comment. I won't take that much credit for arranging it.. it is just a base loop that I altered here and there. Since I'm not a guitarplayer nor any instrument player.. I took the easy way out and used a loop. I'm working on non loop versions with realy guitarplayers.. but it will remain accoustic.. Glad you enjoyed it!

for sure.....
well done... the vibrato was a bit much for me in parts but awesome nonetheless.... i honestly wouldn't have thought about if this was loop based or not if you didn't say so....i wasn't really paying attn. to that because the melody carried it along

THAT is a compliment!
And thank you for that. It means a lot to me that my vocals made you not pay too much attention to the backing...especially since I only used them as a guidance and as an idea for future collaboration...About the vibrato. I like it a lot. But at times I also feels it does not belong on a song. And when vibrato comes natural to a voice it is not easy to get rid of. I've been trying though because it is all about training and I'm succeeding. But yet when singing with emotions I forget about it again.. lol...technics kinda dissapear then. Thanks for your thougths realy appreciated!

I have same
affliction, Jay. I vibrate all over the place. No quarters needed. We all have our crosses to bear. Beautiful voice and killer harmonies.

A Voice
is an instrument too..so in that light I think if it can be trained to also use it without vibrato..and it is something worth exploring.. on the other hand sometimes a specific character of a voice can become a trademark too. Like for example your latest with musichead "Love's Out of Hand".. I just love your voice there! :)

Support taken!
Kindly! It is funny though...putting this song out helped me a lot not to think about alcohol..I just realized it is already 2 weeks ago since I've stopped drinking.. Commenting back and leaving my response to the listeners great support is a great distraction. It also helped me remain strong.. :) Thanks to all for that in and outside macjams..

Great song!
You sing well and I really enjoyed listening to this. Lots of talent! Too much of anything is usually not a good thing. I hope you find your way and are able to beat your vices...your music is great. Welcome to Macjams

Jay
The real star here is the song. Your song is strong and so is your vocalization. So whether its loops or not is not essential to this song/story.
Good job,
Stephen

Oh la la...
Nicely put! The Real star is the song! that is a great compliment.. thanks! In this case the loops don't bother me that much either...yet I want to have a loopless version too for live performance purposes..

One of the best songs I've heard
I think this is a beautifully crafted song, well-written and heartfully performed. Your voice is rich and clear, the harmonies are wonderful, and the lyrics are both meaningful and catchy. I love it.

You already know
that this album is one that I'm most proud of and that it comes closest to my soul...without sounding arrogant..but after listening to all the songs I made so far.. the Intimate Confessions collection pleases my own ears the most.. and the better part is that the audience is liking these songs a lot too.. Hugs my dear..
