Excellent
Excellent Piece. There is a lot of tension buildup here. Especially like your use of percussion in the background. This would make a great film score for a thriller (I hope that is not offensive, it's a compliment). Nice graphic too.

Thanks Johnnyblues,
I do take it as a compliment. This is very much in the filmscore vein which I love.
Thanks for taking the time to check this out and I looked in on your latest and found it a very enjoyable work.
Cheers,
Charlie

tension
a pretty darn good film scoring sort of a piece!

the relentless tritone interval works really well here to create a sense of tension

thanks

A lot of
tension, sense of danger and an ominous feeling, which of course there would be if we were in a lion's den..... so you certainly managed to convey that sense in your music.... excellent, regards M

This would be an excellent
film score type piece. Very cool. Was about to suggest that the song build a bit more but there was a buildup there at the end. Enjoyed it.

Very impressive
piece Charlie, not sure I'd like to listen to this alone and in the dark. Works superbly.

Spare orchestration
with most uncomfortable results. It's like my skin is crawling. All the attributes of the composition really support each other well to bring forth the effect you're after. You leave space for the tension in the harmony and your use of the underlying rhythm makes me feel like I have to keep moving through this most scary place towards what feels like a dreadful end. The slow build is also really well done.

Bravo Charlie.

Be well,
Doug

Thanks Doug,
If I read this right I think you kinda liked this though you may not want to revisit it any time soon. I of course get a kick out of it but then again there's a word for people like me.

Charlie

The word is skilled :o)
Actually I have listened to it twice so that I could try to find out what it was that you were able to use as the sonic cues to signal this uncomfortable feeling. Genius!
