Nice!
Could be a bit louder, but nothing wrong with leaving a little headroom so that it's not distorting in the least. This is very cool, well done altogether. Very sweet...love it!

Great
Love the vocals and the simplistic arrangement. All the subtle autotune and doubling effects are wicked. I really like the vocoder sound you used, was this with a plug in or hardware?

I'm glad
you finally got it straightened out. I hope I was of some help. Terrific job on the song, btw. The vocals are terrific--is that you singing? Nice, subtle use of the AutoTune (thank goodness!). I like this very much. Thanks for sharing it.:)

Great slice of pop. Your voice is sensational. Like the effect on the vox and deep, tasty piano sound.

Great stuff

Great vocals
I expect you will get many offers for collaborations with vocal skills like this. Good production. Did you do all the instrumentation with the keyboard?
Nice job,
Stephen

Welcome!
So glad you were patient as this first song bubbled to the top. Really nice instrumentation and writing, the soundbed is nice sparse so as to hilight your really nice vocals. Great singing and emotion in your vox. Very tasty little touches on this too, the echoes, the pitch-locking (in appropriately short doses), etc. Well mixed, too, very enjoyable! I look forward to more of these!

BTW
it is a pity what Kanye West has done for auto-tune. I pulled autotune out of my only song that uses it because of him, lol! I hate me some Kanye

Welcome at MJ! :o)
Nice composition, singing is good though sometimes a bit too flat in my ear.
Backing is ok, but could be a bit more varied.
Welcome again!!

here again
the vocal is a delight. I especially was digging on the light sparse instrumental backing trax, even when it stepped up it was framed just right, imho

Great stuff Rondo

excellent! a new find for me...
wow, this is great! you've nailed a fantastic vocal track over a deliciously sweet backing track (really nice selection of instruments). I particularly love the staccato effect on the synth echoes.
I will definitely be checking out some more of your stuff.

Nice vocal performance. Effects on the vocals are interesting and you did a good job of not overusing them! Pacing is good on your song - very nice overall performance. You are new to MJ - well then welcome! - Sig

Surpassing Reality
In his book Perfecting Sound Forever: An Aural History of Recorded Music author Greg Milner observes that people now prefer artificial sound to realistic sound in music. After 100 years of trying to perfect "high fidelity" — duplicating the original sound— we have gone beyond reality and prefer music that could never be performed live.

The song "Here Again" is, in itself, good, but not great. Were it to be performed on just an acoustic piano with the same vocalist, it wouldn't be worth the listen, but this recording sounds so good that it's far better than live. Once again, Auto Tune is used not as a pitch-correction device, but as an effect, a color. Music now seems to have reached the progress the visual arts achieved with the Impressionists. Merely duplicating reality has become pointless.

My only objection to this (and I certainly don't object to the beauty of this file) is that it means music for the few, not for the many. I continue to hold that the greatest pleasure of music is making it, not listening to it. As fine as it is, this is another step away from people making their own music, when every home had a piano or at least a guitar, and every community had a chorus, a wind band, several barbershop quartets, or just guys who got together on Saturnday night to jam.

Music should be available for the price of a pawnshop instrument, not the expense of Logic Pro, Auto Tune, a myriad of plug-ins, a MacPro, and thousands-of-dollars of other equipment. Music should not be the privileged domain of those who can master esoteric software, but it should be, like sex, something that everyone does.

When music becomes only something that we listen to, it becomes akin to pornography -- something we watch.
