Amazing Grace

My favourite hymn above all. The most comforting message above all- God's grace. I play a Martin D-18 guitar and sing. My singing is a bit rusty so after some more singing practice I might record it again.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, who called me here below
Shall be forever mine

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

Mandolin to come:)
Thank you Feter, I always enjoy singing this song. I've yet to learn how to use the multitrack feature on the Zoom, then there'll be a sweet mandolin singing as well.

can't go wrong with this tune. Is that an irish or english accent? Feter is right, you sing it honestly. Reminds me of bible study as a kid. can't go wrong with that guitar either. looking forward to hearing more from you. thanks for posting.

Hehehe. The accent could possibly be something between Swedish and Irish:) I'm Swedish but have lived in Ireland so I guess my accent was affected by that... I'm not sure. Thanks for listening. I'll come up with more next week I hope.

Really nice to hear a completely stripped down version of this well known hymn. I can imagine it sung around a campfire in a swedish forest in high summer ( watch out for the midges!!)
