West Side Willy and The CEO

Description
An older song I decided to post for the heck of it. Not my greatest production by any means, but I am proud of the lyrics, which highlight my bleeding-heart, liberal ways. The chorus of "nobody said that life was fair" is pure sarcasm aimed at our conservative (and often religious, believe it or not) friends who think life is a simple as "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps." Some people don't have fucking boots.

West Side Willy lyrics

Verse 1:

West Side Willy's out on parole
don't worry white folks he's under control
See, Willy got his ass rehabilitated
One more brother been violated

3 square meals and a job inside
more than he had when he lived outside
6 long years but my brother never cried
West Side Willy never lost his pride

Paid his debt to society
What's Willy know about society?
"What them folks ever do for me?
Just couldn't let a poor broke brother be!"

No more debt, but there are bills to pay
Not so funny when you hear him say
Trickle-down theory never worked for me
Just full of bullshit and misery

Chorus:

Nobody said that life is fair
Oh no they didn't
Oh no they didn't

Verse 2:

Mister CEO with his scotch on the rocks
never had to turn tricks, never had to sell rocks
didn't get scared on his way to school
didn't get beat down for acting the fool

Born with a silver spoon in his mouth
best food from the North, West, East, and South
Jet-setting every summer to the South of France
Rocking aviator shades and tailor-made pants

Drinking champagne til he gets his fill
sniff a little blow, maybe try a new pill
don't have to worry about getting busted,
cuz his daddy's fund is trusted

Didn't take long to rise to the top,
Daddy's company, but he's calling the shots
Sits back and smiles to himself,
grabs another scotch and rocks, Glenlivet top-shelf.

Chorus:

Nobody said that life is fair
Oh no they didn't
Oh no they didn't

Nobody said that life is fair
Oh no they didn't
Oh no they didn't

Good for you
for laying out some of the essential unfairness of our society, and of life. I almost wanted the "nobody said life is fair" part to be even bigger; even more vocal doubletracking, bigger drums, something. Nice song, at any rate!
