Description
Done the conventional way. I wrote the words first.
This is my 1st attempt at using Logic Express wholly. I should learn most of the basics by spring. :)
I first recorded this song in 05. This version has Drums of which I play and has a snappier tempo.

Played exclusively with Pointless Picks naturally.

Nice one .
Well done on doing it all yourself !
If this is your first attempt at using Logic Express you have done really well my friend .
Drums are difficult to record live at the best of times but you have done really really well here. I envy you in your ability to play drums , as I have to use a sequencer and I don't get it right.
Catchy song too by the way . Looking forward to hearing more .

Great job. I'm getting a Mark Knopfler vibe from the vocs. I enjoyed the guitar break especially. Really solid structure - well written.

I agree with the Mark Knopfler comparison. Love the comfortable groove, great guitar tone and
relaxed vocal. Very tasty, understated guitar break. I really dig your style.

The Hill
The guitar sound is gritty and fits the song nicely.
That rich voice adds to the character of the composition.

Nice & Laid-Back
Very pleasant country sound with good delivery. Must agree with the others regarding the Knopfler influence especially on the laid-back vocals. Thanks for sharing / Mike

Yeah I can see
The Mark Knopfler comparison here a bit. Sometimes you sound a bit like Tom Petty to me too; which is a cool thing. I always enjoy your songs. The laid back easy feel is cool. Your productions are always top notch.

earthy
Love the earthy quality of your voice which brings out the best of this tune. Lots of flavors here, reminiscent of some of those country tunes Roy Orbison would sing or even Linda Ronstadt. Have to agree with the Knopfler comparison too.
This tune is a keeper.

up on the hill
old rockers never die....they just develop vibrato. "up on the hill the children are nice". great line...(or not). good tune, well performed...reminded me of the desert for some reason.
