Description
This is yet another entry into my ongoing fascination with the sitar as a basis for hip-hop beats. I think it is a truly under-explored instrument in the world of electronic music production.
This song is really a series of sketches smashed together in the hope of coming up with a clear picture. That probably didn't happen, but I had fun doing it.
As always, any singers or rappers want to mess with this, in whole or in parts, let me know and I'll send you some of the raw tracks.

Fun
title and music. You are right about making this part of your hip-hop arsenal. Man, take care, this is a killer combination. I'm not a fan of hip-hop but this is really good.

Very cool mix of
instruments. Love the sitar, what an awesome instrument. The only suggestion is that the bass lags behind in a few places which saps a bit of the energy from the song. This starts at around :50. Only late by about 1/64th but it would sound tighter if you bumped it forward just a tad. Very cool song man!

I like making beats. The kind of beats I aspire to make are generally funky, dirty, spacey, and largely hip-hop or electronica related. You will also be hearing more flamenco from me, both electronic and classical, as I continue to get a better gras... [see more]
