Description
OK, After much mulling and deliberation not to mention listening (and doing something completely different (posted yesterday)) I binned the second part completely and rewrote something much simpler but I think more in keeping with the feel. Thanks guys for all the fabulous comments. Voice in the second part is me playing with abstract vocal samples.

beautiful!
These two sections go together very organically; the first flows very naturally & smoothly into the next. I think this piece hangs together much better in this version.

I *LOVE* the second section! Truly beautiful.

Andrew's skills
Great use of the voices, Andrew. Your framing of them is extraordinary. Great use of mood setting, very effective. Excellent shifting of gears in the middle. Beautiful touch from there out. Another great job by your talented self.

ethereal
After reading Cameron and Patrick's comments, there is usually not much left to say or compliment.
I'll just add that the subtle simplicity of the second half - creating this lush, ethereal sound space without the use of chords or even a particular melody - is just fantastically beautiful:)

with top production. Andrew, your ethereal pads really create the perfect mood for the lovely vocal. Kudos.

The creative journey is rarely a straight line
This evolution ended in a very good place indeed. And you came round to vocals again but in a very fresh way. S p a c i o u s.

Gorgeous framing
Loved listening to the steps along the way here, thank you for graciously accepting ideas and input, and enhancing this... the result is indeed delicious. Again, I love how you wrapped the music around the vocal melody in the beginning, so perfect. The second half feels like we jumped off a cliff but are buoyed up from freefall, and held in a dreamy suspension. The synth pads in there remind me a bit of Enigma, always a good thing.

Long Lost
I haven't heard the old version, but I love this one. The change from the more melodic to ethereal was very nice. The pads really compliment the vocals well. Nice work; lovely piece of music.
