Description
This is a song I did for this year's RPM Challenge. It's track #6 from my album "Brownies" by The Jet-Black Project. (my solo project band name)

For some reason I wanted to do something with numbers. This is the result.

A Moment of Your Time Please
Words and Music by Demetrius P. Hill ©2010 all rights reserved, Feb 23, 2010

Six years of school is a real long time
25 minutes bakes a cake real fine
Three straight days is a long weekend
Sometimes a moment feels like it's never gonna end

Eight days a week is what the song says
It's really made up from seven long days
Two lovers feud like the world's gonna end
One makes sure that the other doesn't win

19 inches of long flowing hair
In 24 hours you could be anywhere
15 years is long enough to wait
Only one more year till your very first date

99 bottles of beer on the wall
100 episodes and I've seen them all
A thousand miles is a long way to walk
One more verse girl and then we'll talk

I got nuthin' but time and I wanna spend it all with you

Numbers, numbers
Clever idea for a song, interesting arrangement. I was sort of waiting for some kind of chorus or instrumental break. Work in progress? Cheers Mark

Not a work in progress
Other than some re-mixing -- it's a wrap! No chorus, no refrain. Based on what I was trying to convey, the song simply didn't need it, so I didn't force one upon it. Thanks for listening and commenting Mark.
