ambiguity abounds
Love the opening. It hovers between major and minor, leaving me unsure of the path, but enjoying the bifurcation either way. Great soundscape, as usual... here comes the imagery...

I am working on a temporarily stranded transgalactic transport ship, have been working for 26 hours straight on the engines. We are stuck next to a spectacular nebula. I try to focus on my work, carefully pulling myself along the life-lines between the monstrous engines outside the ship. Fatigue clouds my focus, as does the strange prickly radiation from the nebula. Part of me wants to get my work finished. Part of me is entranced by the shimmering lights of the nebula. After replacing a junction box, I hold out my hand toward the gas cloud, and sparkles of color form around my fingers. I can see my fingers inside my space suit! They radiate light of their own. I am being transformed into one of them, drawn toward the light. It is all becoming beautiful in the blackness. And I am gone.

I think this is worthy of some more color and a lead singer, of course :)

Darkness for the Masses
meditative and textured. You are my nuance hero Matt. You layer, stir and mix like no one else. I find myself empowered and inspired after listening to your tracks. D'l'd for future enjoyment and late night jamming with friends.

I like this piece a lot and it feels unfinished, but at the same time it's been stirred and mixed a bit. I'd really like to hear what you have going on, sorry I missed your email, and one of my goals is to be more active on the site this summer (famous last words, I know, but I need some inspiration!)

Very nice...
reminds me a little of Aphex Twin but a lot darker. Love the droning bass and the break around 2.20 before it all kicks back in again. I do that a lot!!! Like the way you keep lots of mini rhythms going with the synths alongside the main one. Cool.

I don't get it.. These are so cool... I guess the orbiting standards are extremely high... Mine are not... This is great and does not deserve to be a reject!!! LOL... Nice job!

Thanks for checking out
my songs, Mark. I can't wait to see what happens with our Xmas challenge. I have listened to a number of your songs and am impressed too. I'll try to get some comments up at some point, apparently it's not my forte. I guess that kinda makes me a lurker!

I'd be honored! And you don't have to call me Mr. Smith anymore. We're equals now.
