Production
Hmmm, well the entire piece is a jam built on the shuffle drum and bass line. The sax and bass are loops and the trumpet part is a mixture of me playing live trumpet trading with edited loops. I am playing keyboards on the break and doubling keys through the entire piece to fatten the sound. Thank you for taking the time to listen =-)

This is AWESOME! It would be great if you'd leave some INFORMATION about how this song was made, in the description. Is this all live? Who is playing? This is fabulous!

Info...
Magnatone, I left some information in the above post reply to awigze. Let me know if you would like anything more specific. But enough about my little piece. I have listening to "Confluence" and totally soaking it up. It is like flying above the clouds. Thanks for writing it. You are a very talented pianist.

Swing it
Very fun swing groove. It felt a bit like a jam, without a discernible melody, kind of a collage of different licks from different instruments, some MIDI, perhaps some loops, some real. Since you asked for my feedback: Consider creating a melody and even perhaps an A and B section, with at least 16 bars of soloing, choosing less instruments to highlight, then return to the head to restate, layering the instruments in the main section with or without harmonies and counter melodies. Its a fun track, but sounds more like an experiment to test out different sounds than an actual song. Thanks for asking me to listen.

Development
Tobin....thanks for taking the time to answer my email and check out the piece. I agree with your comments. They are very helpful. This ditty really wasn't designed to be a commercial piece. It's more like a jam---kind of the "flavor" of what it could turn into. But your comments are dead on! Thanks again for taking the time. BTW...I was driving to work today listening to "Acid Hopping". Great track =-)

A rousing
jam session--just what it's supposed to be: a free for all with some marvelous turns by the instruments. Your opening tag and coda reminded me of some things the Benny Goodman Quartet opened with. Great job on this! Michael
