renting space
really like that cool squiggly little lead over rhythm in the verse. i like the backups here and there in the verse too. but favorite bit is the GREAT solo at the end. One of the best i've heard on MJ. lofty and melodic but wicked too. sweet!

Cliched or not
This is a great song. I am always impressed by your supposed lo-fi stuff that makes my over produced waffle sound amateurish.

Nice one Steve!

Don't we all?
resort to cliches I mean?
This is a really nice one Steve. Couple of nits in the rhythm section department - mainly that repeating drum sequence, which is too "quirky" not to notice it doesn't change (well maybe it does once) for the whole song. And you know I'd like to hear you with a real bass line :)
But otherwise, I like it a lot.
Cheers from Oz,

Love that Strat!
Smooth vox, great, clear Strat with great progressions, just the right O.D., and a very effective solo -- love that 'verb! It's all good, Steve.
