Lyrics
Give It

I can feel you holding back
And that ain't who you are
Sittin' quiet in the corner
Of this weekday weary bar
There's a fire dancing in your eyes
Burning to get free
So come out of that shadow
And give it up to me

Give it on up. Give it out loud
Might as well scream
If you're gonna make a sound

Give it in. Give it over
Ain’t nobody keepin’ score
Just give, give, give me all you got
'Till you got no more

Any tiger in the grass knows
With silence comes the power
To calculate around the prey
Attack, control, devour
They say the female of the species
Is more deadly than the male
I've been watching you,
And I'm hot on the trail

Give it on up. Give it out loud
Might as well scream
If you're gonna make a sound

Give it in. Give it over
Ain’t nobody keepin’ score
Just give, give, give me all you got
'Till you got no more

Life is not held in teaspoons,
No, life is salt to taste
I'm closing in on your trail,
I've fallen for the bait
I'm all done playing careful,
I'm not gonna be discrete
Just pour on all your fire,
And I'll rub in the heat!

Give it on up. Give it out loud
Might as well scream
If you're gonna make a sound

Give it in. Give it over
Ain’t nobody keepin’ score
Just give, give, give me all you got
'Till you got no more

Give it!
Your voice has a nice tone to it, witch fits with the acoustic guitar nicely.

Somewhere in the mix there is something that is louder than others, but I cannot pinpoint what it is. Perhaps the guitar is a bit louder than it should be.

I like this lyrics too!

Nice nice work here
I really like the way you alter the chord at the end of "got no more" later in the song, nice surprise... really compelling songwriting. The guitar and singing were each really well done, but I might suggest softening the guitar a little in the mix, it competes heavily with your singing. I'd also suggest tweaking the harmony singing vox some in the chorus, don't just sing in unison there, but keep that in there, it is a powerful chorus. Solid work here!

I like the vocal melody
and harmonies you have going here. I think this is a very good song. The one suggestion I would give you would be to add some more dynamics to the backer. The strumming guitar is a bit much for the whole song, I would experiment with either doing some fingerpicking or something to change up the verses and add impact to the chorus. The strumming sounds good, but you can have too much of a good thing. Very well done song though. Enjoyed it.

oh yeah
and I agree that the guitar is a bit loud. I would bump it down just 1-2 db. The vocal may be competing with the same frequencies as the guitar a bit too. Some tweaking of the eq will easily fix that.

Gotcha!
OK so the consensus seems to be Vocal up and/or guitar track down.

Yes.. this is the Foo Fighter's type mix. The music to the wall and submerge the vox. I'm gonna remix to the original. The guitar is too harsh until the bridge. Thanks everyone!

Give It
Good hook, and it comes on at the right time right after the buildup. I'm enjoying some of the non-standard chords here. The acoustic sounds good, but I'm also curious to hear what this song would sound like with a fuller arrangement. Vocs are sounding good.
