TWO years at MacJams!
I know I already uploaded a song this week, but when I did that, I forgot that today was my MacJammiversary - and I sorta like uploading something on each anniversary to see what I've learned in the past year. So, here it is.
This is the second piece in my Nature Suite. The first was Beach Walk. I've used the same set of instruments, as well as some similar song stucture characteristics.
For this piece, I really played with time signature. It's written in 7/8 which gives it a slightly off-balance feel. I also played around with how the melody moves - where the phrasing happens and where accents are - to give the song even more of a shifting feel. I really wanted this to be like moonlight through the trees, a slight breeze moves a branch and everything shifts, a cloud floats across and everything shifts again. It's never quite a steady light, but gorgeous and serene none-the-less.
Learning more and more about Logic and Miroslav and have tried to really use all that I've discovered. As always, I'd appreciate any thoughts or constructive criticism you have to offer.
Thanks for two amazing years my friends.
