Description
Cassie Is on of our two dogs. We found her in the woods one March day a few years ago. She was a scared little thing. But she knew how to tell my wife that she did not trust her but that man (me) was OK. I picked her up and it was love at first kiss.
She has grown into the most confident and easy going dog who understands english probably better than some of my college students.
This song is for her. She likes it and I hope you do do.

Lucky Cassie
and luckier you. Dogs are wonderful, aren't they: I swear mine understands English, as well. As usual, Bill, your funk is definitely funky, and your production is top notch. Thanks.

Great full sound with the guitars and funky bass. Love the stucture. Sounds like a great time with the jam.

Funked it
Nice loose live feel. Has a kind of carefree personality that works well as a tribute to mans best friend. Love the hard hitting section at 1 minute. Seems like there is a need for something else to fill the space, some kind of subtle ear candy, horn hits, during the quieter sections. Bass drum breakdown is well done.

thanks
I thought about some horns in here but decided I liked it the way it was. Wanted to really save some stuff for the bass solo and guitar solo.

Cassie's Groove
Brought to mind The Meters with a heavier guitar. The heavy section at 2:00 followed by the breakdown is cool. Some very cool variation in the snare sound.

Glad you liked the way I put the drum track together in that section. I was not sure anyone else would listen closely enough to catch that but I put it in there to get a more live feel to the whole thing.

Cassie's
a cutie. Lucky too to wind up in such a loving home. This one sounds like you had fun. That bass (and breakdown as they say) around the 2:15 mark was remarkably cool.

Breakdown
The breakdown seems to be a fav among visitors here. I like to think of that section as the part where Cassie catches the scent of another dog when we go for a walk. Her nose goes down, her tail goes up and she is pure concentration on following that trail.
