Music is math after all. The video makes it all clear. Thanks for including an entry point to the lesson for those of us who are visual learners. Are you a teacher?

Music is math...
...which is why I'm more comfortable playing by ear (math and I do not get along!) Delightful as music and interesting as an "experiment"--I liked it!

Interesting vid Bill
If for no other reason than to stop the "C C Bb C" comments it would have been good to do this in A and B. I like maths and enjoyed watching this unfold.

I have to agree with, Karen about your creative genius, and I can also tell you that you're one good inspiration source too me and I guess for many others here too.
BTW, Cool video too.

An intruiging idea..
..and slickly executed. Although like quite a few concept pieces, the concept pretty much is the piece here, and I can't honestly say that I got any more out of listening to the music than I did from looking at the screenshot from the youtube video.

YouTube basically gives it away. it's too bad the choices for the screenshot are so limited there

part of the point of the video is the gradual exposition of the hierarchy of the nested structure... oh well

thanks!

It's
Fractal music, I'm naturally inclined to like this for that reason. This works best with the video, which is super cool. I also like the dramatic strings you bring in later in the piece.

Experimental music is any music that challenges the commonly accepted notions of what music is. There is an overlap with avant-garde music. John Cage was a pioneer in experimental music and defined and gave credibility to the form. As with other edge
