Description
Some time ago I posted this tune and it was suggessted to me that I reach out to Andy(awigze). He was gracious enough to send me a 'sep' of him blowing Tenor Sax on it but admittedly I'm still learning Sonar. At the time I didn't know how to import audio to a project but I do now. I still have a LONG way to go but I'm taking 'baby steps'(lol). Andy, I sincerely want to thank you for taking enough of an interest in my little tune to play on it for me and I promise, given the opportunity, I WONT take this long to get back to you! :)

Alright Scott! Welcome to the wonderful world of MacJams collaborations. And you couldn't have picked a better person to collaborate with than Andy. This is a smooth piece and Andy's playing is wonderful.

Sounds great Scott
I like most everything about this very cool tune. The nit - I always look for 'em Scott, not picking on you :) - is that there's quite a bit of clipping in there - mainly on the sax part I think (which is otherwise excellent Andy). Maybe you could back off on all the individual instrument volumes - I'm sure it would then sound just right. The mix is otherwise flawless.
Glad I caught up with this.
Cheers fro Oz,
Neil

No problem!
I have absolutely no problem with 'nits' being found! :) I'm sincerely of the school of thought that if one is gonna critique be prepared to suggest improvements which you've done so no I'm not feeling picked on! If anything I appreciate that!! The only way any of us is gonna get better at what we do is by exposing ourselves to fresh ears who care about the music! ... Getting off my soapbox now!(lol) I'll revisit this mix! (Taking my ball and going home! lol) :)

Scott
Thanks for the tag along on this great tune. First day you popped in to Macjams I started to listen and was very pleased that you asked me to throw down on this one. I hope you catch the collaboration bug here. As you know there are so many talents here that would love to lend their offerings to your style of jazz. As I listen to this I can hear that I was beginning to develop some different ideas and it was becoming less of a jam. (after 4:00) On future projects feel free to copy / move splice, combine, delete. in other words, make it your own and use your sensibilities to make it to your liking. I think I was trying out a synthetic reed on this if I remember right.

I certainly
appreciate that Andy ... like I've said I'm still learning this whole DAW/Sonar thing so that being said I've yet to learn how to cut/splice/delete etc, etc, etc (lol) ... Using this technology I'm like a kid with his first car who says 'Oh, you have to check the oil every 3,000 miles? Why?, I live in New York, I'm not driving to LA!' (lol)

something saxual about this song. the changes are smooth and the sax lines are sweet.
