Montana Moon

I count myself blessed in that I’ve been privileged to see some truly breath-taking things over the years. This past August while driving through Montana, I got a very early start out of Forsyth. I was the only one on the road and the morning was slow in coming over the horizon. A large pink moon sitting low over the bluffs followed me as I drove. Here and there, the Yellowstone River would make an appearance, shining silvery pink and golden beneath it all. Sometimes the sense of beauty just falls outside the realm of words. But we are gifted with images to carry along with us. Places and moments we can turn to and breathe a sigh of remembrance – perhaps holding on to a small bit of that feeling of immense awe. This is my sigh of remembrance…

the WONDERFUL description you gave ! I can almost picture you driving along the river and seeing this gorgeous river on the moonlit night.
Again a wonderful piano solo with a description that even so many at this great concert halls don't do which if they did would add a wonderful adage to music as you have done.

Way to go Sarah ! So tasteful so so visual. . .

Pretty sweet actually
But I agree with RosaLinda, it does have some (Scandinavian?) melancholy in it. Beautiful but with a kind of sadness that can go with a memory you cherish. Much enjoyed and thanks for the download.

The art of conveying
Words may not do your grand vision justice, but it certainly sets the stage for your conveying of vast gentle beauty in music. Very elegant, moving composition. And wonderfully played. I shall listen again... ahh.

Gorgeous piece here!
This sounds very much like a real piano, is it? Great description, the music really does capture it beautifully. So well done. Tasteful, thoughful, emotional. Really good!

It takes a lot of control
to write and play with such restraint. This composition is so gentle and takes me carefully on your trip through Montana all in an understated manner that compels me to lean in, turn up my headphones, and just float away in the serenity. Lovely.

Chanced upon this on Christmas Eve's Eve ....

Total amateur but I love what I do. I've been more focused on the writing and the painting lately so I tend to pop in and out of macjams at random, infrequent intervals. But I love catching up on my favorite artists and discovering some new ones al... [see more]
