Description
I was very lucky to have drawn JD in the 2010 Christmas Challenge - one of the more distinctive and powerful voices here at MacJams. Patient, too - it took me the longest time just to get a rough sketch out to get the discussion started. Thanks so much, my brother - looking forward to working with you again in a few weeks!
We set out to deconstruct the song - apologies in advance to the purists out there expecting a traditional take.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
Vocals: jdholliday
The other stuff: me
P.S. If you wanna hear the other tunes, here's the forum post with all the linkage.

Lyrics
Original lyrics by Mykola Leontovych (1916) with some minor variations:
Hark hear the bells,
sweet silver bells,
all seem to say,
throw cares away.
Christmas is here,
bringing good cheer,
young and old,
the meek and the bold.
"Ding dong ding dong",
that is their song.
With joyful ring
we're all caroling.
One seems to hear
words of good cheer
from everywhere
filling the air.
Oh how they pound,
raising the sound,
over hill and dale,
telling their tale.
Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer.
Christmas is here.
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas.
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas.
(repeat)
