Changes ((*ATHA*)

A song I co-wrote back in the late 60's with my brother, (aka PeterZ to those of you in the Minneapolis Music scene from the 70's and 80's).

(*ATHA*) means "After the Heart Attack". I had a heart attack in November 2010, a few days after my 58th birthday. I "saw" death, and the the doctors and nurses pulled me back from "him/it".

I decided that I would finish off my tunes here with the vocals as I don't want to leave any unfinished business behind if my heart fails again and there is no trauma team to bring me back. The "other side" was peaceful and terrifying at the same time. The heart attack hit while I was asleep and it was the most terrifying and painful, and at the same time gentle and peaceful, experience of my life. I can't describe the pain and terror I felt. They said I was screaming "take me but leave my family alone".

Thank you GOD for letting me come back this time. That is at least the 3rd Time. Help me find my mission here on earth.

Such a great Yes vibe. The nylon string opening is really nice. The organ is very Wakeman-esque. The twangy bass captures the Chris Squire vibe.

A look back
to when music was more interesting, at least in my humble O. Classic prog sound. This is exceptional. Really nice, with your trademark upbeat sound. The vocal line is beautiful and flowing. I like the 7/4 bits, too. The change at 4:00 is a Yes signature transition. That is so cool. My favorite of your for the day. The acoustic fadeout is choice.
