Description
Happy Easter:

A 3 part retro rock instrumental, with my friends Russ & John On Guitars and Bass, and Js Simmons on Drums..Shadow provides Keyboards and mix...These songs where composed by all involved over the period of 2 months last fall, then when I fell sick we had to delay my parts. Finally we finished and we are delighted with the results...None of us are young we were weened on 60-70 rock and tried to capture what we remembered it was like...

Hope you like..

Cheers The Shadow Band...

(I augmented the drums with some loops as our recording was lacking)

This felt REALLY good
An excellent trilogy--every part was unique and created a completely different feeling inside me. So many fine touches in this and some marvelous playing. While I was very young in the 70s, I could feel those years in #1, then came #2 and brought recollections of Queen and some of those guys (I actually had a number of Queen albums--you'd never know it from the stuff I do!) The final part, I could not quite place a decade for it, but it was perhaps a combination of the first two and an excellent way to finish. Absolutely one of your very, very best Dave (and kudos to your partner for their outstanding work too!) Take care now Dave--and have a good week! PS: How's the weather up there? It just sucks here in Minnesota, let me tell you! Michael

My Past Life Feels Like Yesterday
Part 1
Echos of the past but with a very modern sound! This has a great live feel. Very tasteful guitar soling and I love the organ. The big reverb on the lead guitar gives it a stadium rock vibe. Could be a lost jam from Frampton Comes Alive (meant as a compliment since I love the record).

Part 2
Bouncy and anthemic! The groove and piano track give it an Abby Road vibe. I like the unison runs at 4:56. Great guitar playing! Has a cool Killer Queen vibe!

Part 3
Love the Rhodes sound! Echos of the Stones (Sympathy for the Devil) and CCR (Fortunate Son). But with some nice additional changes and a big metal vibe starting at 8:49! Great climax for this three part retro rock symphony!

Fun and impressive from beginning to end!

Man that guitar
sounds like it is cranked. Did you mic a cab for this? Would be interested to know how you get your guitar tone here. Very cool piece. Man you are a diverse artist. Amazing, the range of music you create. Excellent jamming here.
