Just something i was messing around with. This is the first piece of music made entirely on the laptop away from home, without access to even a keyboard. I guess it could be classed as a cheap remix, but the lead vocal sample was a bit of an afterthought and i thought it worked well enough to keep it in. I don't claim to own any rights for the artists original work!

Here is the original amazing song and video. Inspiring stuff!

I like this tons!
Really a cool sound! The faraway vocals don't do your voice justice but sound pretty darned cool in this! From the description it probably isn't your voice... but it works well!

Great job!! I love the melody. Good job on the mix. I actually like sound of the distant vocals ... it becomes part of the whole thing ... an instrument in the ambience of it all. Enjoyed!!

your link hasn't appeared.
now...the song....fucking brilliant. anthemic, poppy (though in a good way). you mix like a god...this sounds sensational. really interesting layering of all the sounds - it really is incredible.....i am blown away. i knew i was in for a treat when i got the email alert. stunning.
the sampled kid talking about his poverty is totally brilliant....you've managed to edit it in so the child sounds like it's singing - beautifully manipulated. we're 7.31 in and i'm getting edgy because i know this is going to stop any seconds. and there it goes. silence. wow.....what a ride.....seriously.

by the way, the link to the video hasn't appeared.

Tres cool...
Great soundscape... Intro sounds like something on a Phil Collins record... Well-constructed, dense but accessible.. Everything is in it's place in the sound field. Compelling use of vocal samples... Very enjoyable!!

I love the mood of this song. There's absolutely nothing clumsy about either instruments or vocals, and that child's voice sample is wacky but fun.

Great track.

I have come to expect excellence in your posts. Again not disappointed. Like the drums you put in here especially. Really adds a nice groove.
