This is a story of my many Glastonbury Festivals. Intermingled into one 4 minute tune, I was planning a sequel, that depends and is the question?

No guitars, just midi everything and a few manipulated loops, with a sprig of others glasto experiences. This is just a sentimental posting made for this moment...

Glastonbury is in its dying moments as I write, and as a pun! what had started as another mud fest, today had a cloudless sky and temperatures reflecting a real summers day. This story does not include these daze! It’s more about the movement of walking for hours, passing along lanes, hearing different songs or bands playing from tents to beat boxes from the fields, each would come and go as you passed,, fading and intermingling with each other. Or moments when you would wake up in the night and hear different sounds passing your tent, interesting conversations and drunken love proposals So, this is trenching through mud, feet sodden from a few day’s of it already, pissed and stoned, trying to find refuge under some marquee that had some half decent music playing there. A difficult task in deed. However sometimes treats where install and these try to reflect these moments. I was always looking for floor space as a priory and chilled tunes as a close second.

Mudtaineering ….

What time is it?..... He pushes his digital watch….
2. 40 A.M.

Walking down a lane ---------

The old shit truck eh1 …. A shit truck passes fully laden.
What if we head down that way? ….. Arriving at one of the several multi junctions
This place is fuckin ridiculous

Do not piss in the ditches, or in the hedgerows, it might be alright for some you etc,,,,

swell squishes

the clanging guitar (?) beat that starts @ 1:43 stands out for me.
3:05's high keen = good! intensity of percussion increasing and fading at outro good idea. swell squishes - and i'm glad i wasn't standing where you were....nicely done!

dude....this is brilliant. what an incredible mix. what an incredible story. is it original glast sampled dialogue. the morph into that reggae dub sound is sublime....pure dillinger. steve this is so cool....you are such a talent. the muddy footsteps going from side to side at the end....lovely end.

Splish splash
Why are music festivals always so muddy? Sounds like good unclean fun. Reckon it would have been better if you were on the bill. Mix is sounding polished. Great stuff, and enjoyed reading the description, as well.

Caught some highlights of the festival last night. Beyonce? Wombles?
I'm guessing your memories will be better than ones of the modern day glasto-goers.
This goes on the "cool wall" a neat tapestry of musical moment superbly woven together.
Nice one Steve

What a journey. I feel all dirty. The production is incredible. An amazing soundscape. Thank God for that reggae bassline. It brought me down like a good shot of B12.

That bass really grabs 'ya. Trippy, squishy, and eclectic stream of sonic consciousness. Thanks for saving me some airfare!

I felt this one. Those squishy sounds were the best. You made me feel like I was there. I too love those quirky, half jointed, conversations you hear in the tent late at night :-) Steve, bravo.

M8, you are such a box of surprises, you not only know how to tell a story in sounds but also in words. The story is a lost Jack Kerouak manuscript.
Enjoyed everything. A literal (no metaphor) trip, a complete experience. Like if the whole page was a stamp to print your memories in my brain. I (almost) can say I was there. Well, perhaps not.

Theres a naked man with a hose
Mud making, madness, all midi I love it has a strange floating quality, like passing through a festival with all its madness squeezed in to one song then you stumble across the heavy duty reggae tent and hang for a while, until the fire department lets everyone know they are not having enough fun, what a trip love this! Don't get to much mud in your boots!
