Description
I wrote this song for the bridal processional at an upcoming family wedding. The first verse is sung from the perspective of the groom as he stands waiting at the altar. The second is the bride as she walks up the aisle. The second verse is me singing in falsetto, but needs to be re-recorded by a female vocalist (my wife will sing it at the wedding).

Lyrics
Here you come, between the chairs
All I can do is stand and stare
Contain my smile,
And hold back the tears

Yesterday, I could have sworn
It was impossible to love you any more
But somehow now I know
My love’s just begun to grow

And in your eyes,
I see our life together, forever and ever
And in your smile,
I see the love that you hold,
Our lives to unfold
I know our love will shine brighter than
Diamonds and gold

There you stand,
Waiting to take my hand
Each step taking me closer
To our destiny

There are no regrets or fears
I was always meant to be here
With you, with me,
With our family

And in your eyes,
I see our life together, forever and ever
And in your smile,
I see the love that you hold,
Our lives to unfold
I know our love will shine brighter than
Diamonds and gold

Here we stand
Placing our lives in God’s hands
We pray for your grace to last a lifetime
And when we look back,
We won’t need a photograph
To remem-ber,
I love you

Here we stand,
Exchanging promises, prayers, and wedding bands
Let the angels sing
The joy of our love everlasting

And in our lives
May we stand together, forever and ever
Through tears and smiles
We’ll keep the love that we hold
As our lives unfold
Our love will always shine brighter than
Diamonds and gold

How wonderful!
Lucky people. You didn't do badly at the falsetto. Enjoyed it. Thanks.

Shucks
Thanks again, Char. As a choir teacher, I spend a lot of my time in falsetto, and frequently record it... I just know the final sound will be better, and the point of the song served when I've got the female vocal recorded.

Diamonds and gold
Nice song that will no doubt be received as a treasured gift. The tune has a nice blend of power and smoothness. Would be interesting to hear it as a full production. Much enjoyed.
