Hello, My name is Fran, it's been a long time since I've signed up to MacJammers. I recently just joined a local band playing bass. We are just a garageband really. We haven't played any shows yet. Atomic War Bride is the name of our group. Anyways any suggestions would be appreciated.

You guys are really good!
I think overall, this professional sounding but as it's live, it's rather hard to give feedback on (the vocal was a bit difficult to make out at times, so I can only get a "general" idea of it), but again, it sounds right in the pocket and would be interested in hearing you and your band in a studio or more room ambient setting. Go for it! Thanks for sharing this, Michael

Working on it
As soon as we perfect our playing and work out all the mess ups, we'll be recording soon. We hope to get some decent recordings in the future. Right now we just record live with the H2 :) Thanks for the feedback!

Nice rockin tune. Very cool raw live feel. Reminded me a little of the Dead Kennedys mixed with an "evil" 7 Seconds. Id love to hear more of your stuff. great post!

Nice one!
Great first submission sis! Rockin sound. I love your singers voice, he pretty much sounds like Peter Murphyish. Cool tune, I look forward to hearing more :)

Cool tune. You guys definitely sound tight, and I love the thumpin' bass.

Sounds good for live Fran
welcome back to MJs! Tight performances all round. Would be good to hear a "studio" of the band for sure and I read you have plans for that.

Overall made me think of some 80s gothic rock bands like the Mission, Sisters of Mercy (but I have limited point of reference for all things "gothic") and I hear that touch of Jello Biafra too. I liked Tony's sparing use of phaser on the guitar herein (though I have no idea if he uses it in every song, which could be a bit much for my tastes). I think "War Bride" would be just fine too.. the "Atomic" makes me think of "Ned's Atomic Dustbin" and "Atomic Kitten"- do you want those associations? Then again I play drums for fun in a band called "And yer balls".. so best ignore my advice on naming ..
keep it up, bass parts sounded fine... the drums could be a bit more elaborate (does sean have toms?) ;o)

I like your band name, for what it's worth. Cool tune. A real crowd pleaser, no doubt. I would also like to hear what you can do with some "studio" mixing. But for live it sounds pretty damn good. I can hear all the parts, although I would like some more bass (but I always say that). Great picture!

Yeah
Rats! My first comment disappeared.

Anyway, I really dig your bass part.
I also love the chord progressions; it really gives this song a nice dark feel to it.
The recording is pretty good. Sounds like it was recorded live. I'll bet people get hurt at your shows... Wish I was there!

You guys fully rock! Love it!
