the final frontier is inner space - zero parsecs from here

if all civilizations converge to their own inner space - this could explain why SETI has not found anything

Great piece Bill
I like the sustained tones against the beat and the illustration is perfect. What is the image?

image is a spectrogram of the "drone" - it is random swells of sine waves of random harmonics of 55 Hz made by a little program. thanks for listening

get small
so, we must learn to fold? to survive the tsunami debris of population explosion, we must become subatomic creatures, thus avoiding the bigger problems we left behind? What an ingenious idea. Through the music, I could see myself shrinking down, being enveloped by my headphones, and starting to dance with the electrons.

what we hear
I think if I was in outer space, ambient music would work very well to fit the environment (I think of "Vast")

I'd want to have some variety over time.... some things to connect back home.

This is nice, Bill

Zero Parsecs Dead Ahead
So much to learn about inner space. Most of us are too busy to pay attention at all, let alone plumb the depths. Very cool vibe you have going, with the shaky synth seeming to parallel the horizontal blur in the photo. Love those beats that keep it all alive!

Nice exploration of infrequently visited spaces.

love the beat(s) and that harmonium sound before all of the synths and bass come in. great work with the flanger too. you are a twisted individual and have come up with some equally twisted stuff in here (like the crazy organ part - genius). after it was over I felt like the bleeps and stuff at the end were the inhabitants and they had just seen a parade pass by (the drums and bass); they weren't sure what to think but they loved it. me too.

Your inner space
sounds a little more interesting than my own. Mine is mostly occupied by that drone in the background. Not much percussions or interesting tricks and turns and there. Ah well, glad to get to know yours :-)

Cool entry, thanks, and take care,

Genre Info
Experimental music is any music that challenges the commonly accepted notions of what music is. There is an overlap with avant-garde music. John Cage was a pioneer in experimental music and defined and gave credibility to the form. As with other edge
