Made it! Last tune for this year. Ambient number with some familiar settings of mine. There are only seven tracks in this one, using the Zebra, Albino, Alchemy and U-he's new synth, the Diva. Hope you might like it.

The image is a photo I took in the Hiroshima Memorial Museum. It's a painting made by one of the victims, and is called "Black Rain". It was very moving, I have to say.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by. Have a good New Year!

Hooray, he made it just in time!
No wonder you're breathless ;-) This is a lovely, dreamy, buttery smooth bit of soundscape; perfect to fade out the old year and ease into the new.
Are you using the full Alchemy? I just received it for Christmas and haven't made it through the tutorials yet ;-)
All best wishes for a super new year from across the pond.

Hi Dave.....
Happy New Year to you and your family.

Great new track. Diva is good. I bought it a few days ago. The jury is out for me on Alchemy. Sounds good here though.

Take care.

As always
you come up with something so original sounding.... love the way you use the vocal synths like bells against the other sounds..... it has a feeling of awakening and full of wonder........ I get the Japanese influence in the melody too; so subtle and it really lovely Dave. All the best to you and yours for the New Year, M

Not familiar with the Diva synth-must be the female vocal sound. If so it sounds great. I like how that sound keeps panning around.Meditative, relaxing and engaging. Nice work.

Beautiful sounds
to start the new year with. You're a great tamer of wild synths :-) I downloaded the free Alchemy app to my iPhone and it sounds great and is good fun to play with, if not for production. I'm afraid I'll be too busy at work now for awhile but listening to your music is an inspiration. I especially like how you place the sounds in space...

Could be interesting to hear more about your visit in Japan some day...

Happy new 2012 and take care,

Pika Don
After Pika fell the real terror began...I hope we never have to endure such an awful period again.

Your piece is lovely, reflective and most of all inspirational. The artwork coupled with the music brought tears to me eyes...

If you ever watch anime movies, please check out "barefoot gen" very emotional piece about this subject. Take care and thanks for sharing this lovely piece.

In by New Years! Timing is everything
No, not really. It's the journey - the creation and the experience.

I love these voices you have going on here Dave. The measured forward movement is almost like the little waves that pushup onto the beach on a calm day. Excellent choice in sounds and the way they contrast each other. There's a low synth on the right that reminds me a little of Jaco Pastorius' bass playing.

I also get the oriental feel in some of the open harmonies and the koto like sounds. The staccato voices around 4:30 and onwards are like the voices of the fallen coming down as rain. Gorgeous soundscape!!

This one is definitely going into my ambient favs on iTunes. Crank up those rating stars Mr. Scott!

Thanks for this one Dave. Very nice post indeed.

I didn't know
This is a very moving piece you can feel the emotions and when you explain the art work it sits right in with the mood of the music very well done it shows that everyone has a voice and there is always room for one to express it self because space is infinite so there is always room for creativity.Thank you for allowing me to hear your world.

O-misoka okurimono
You posted on our wedding anniversary, no less! :-) Intriguing, it does sound a bit like rain, but with each drop singing when it hits. Love your choice of synth voices and panned separation. A synapse in me fired, and whispers that this sounds partly algorithmically generated, like something ic42 would do? A nice way to usher in the new year... I am so behind in listening lately... I'm definitely breathless, so this was a great respite to require me to sit down and catch that breath. Here's to a little less hectic 2012 for us all!

This is a meditative piece; it stopped me from working, and I just started staring out my window. Thanks for changing my perspective for a while. The mix sounds great through my KRK's, especially the low end. This was very enjoyable. Thanks for posting.

You seem to always be on top of the release of the latest goodies. Well, there's another "must get" to add to my ever-growing shopping list. Well done, with the always refreshing davajonah feel. I like the spatial separation you get in the staccato voices. Surrounded. Very nice. And the ambient background sounds are simply gorgeous.

This is a wonderful piece - very nice balance and build. You use some very intriguing synths as well - if I ever get the budget I'd love to try them - Zebra is on my short list!

Moving Composition.
This is a fitting piece decrying the inhumane use of Nuclear Technology. I hear the tears and pain. A call for the survival of Humanity and the abolition of Nuclear Arms. I feel you my man..Deeply..
Fantastic Production and musical presentation.

This is beautiful and like a visualization in sound. There is calm and color here. Stands up to repeated listening .
Could work in so many many ways , from background music to a video to art installations.
It's like a brain massage as I listen to it.
Well done and thanks for uploading dream on and then share the dream.

took me a while to work out what was happening in the artwork.....at first i thought someone had been decapitated (i gotta stop smoking that stuff).
anyway, the song.....love those human voice tones on the keys....reminds me of my dusty korg M1. yes i can hear the far eastern vibes filtering through. dreamy and ethereal but kinda fresh and invigorating at the same time. sounds really head-filling on headphones. i was wondering whether some percussion was going to kick in and take it somewhere, but it doesn't need it - this is simple thought-provocation stuff. cool.
