World music Orchestration, a fusion piece perhaps even a cinematic piece...
Of interest the trumpet is a muted playable sample from my Kontakt sampler, it was difficult to make it sound reasonably authentic...

Hope You like the journey...

Incredible Voyage
I find this extremely interesting give your body of work. For me this kinda puts an explanation mark on the messages and truly worldly adventurous music you share. I truly love this style and the wonderful fact that you my friend stay true to yourself. Marvelous Compostion and As always Production Magic..I feel a persian flute sound emitting gloriously throughout the piece and that's probably my lack of training the ear to variation in instruments. However it sounds great to me. I think you have to have a patient ear to truly engage this piece simply because it says so much about your humanism and your ability to transmit an educational element to your very worldly offerings.

I have trouble enough making my acoustic guitars sound reasonably authentic. I don't know how you guys do it with samples. When I try it comes out sounding like bad Nintendo music.

This is fabulous Dave. This has the charm of classic Hollywood. I see Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra.

Lovely journey
has a rhythmic sway like a camel's gait. Love the percussion and the sound that's either plucked strings or a xylophone/marimba (these old ears, ya know). No download? Pity.

Hi Dave.....
I think this piece is excellent. The muted trumpet is fine. It fits the mood of the piece perfectly.

The music reminds me of my time in Saudi, Bahrain, Dubai and Yemen. Six years of both nightmare and wonder.

There were some Egyptian big bands that were on tv at lunchtime and this takes me back there whilst enjoying my lunchtime coffee with the a/c on.

Take care.

Great fusion of sounds, all held together with the ubiquitous shaker/tambour, or whatever it is! Terrific orchestration and mix too. A fabulous listen.

This is quite a caravan
I really love exotic sounds and the arabesque sounds lead the pack in that line. Truly wonderful and full of flavor Dave--a really fine piece from you. Thanks again! You take care now, Michael
