Martyr at the Stake

This Song Temporarily Offline
This song has all the hallmarks of an early 2000's Eric song: Mopey lyrics, key change, outro. The "drums" are from my guitar processor. I like the chords in the chorus, but I'm quite embarrassed with the lyrics. But you have to be embarrassed with your early 20's.

I think this was recorded in 2003 on the Tascam.

I like the lyrics! You captured youthful insecurities and fear perfectly. Cool vocals. There's a cool Weezer vibe here.

good to know
you were just as embarrassing in your 20's as you are now. here's to continuity. seriously this is a great tune! i love the little acoustic accents and that awful extra chord you throw into the turnaround here and there. 90's gold. where are the comments? white flight i guess.

hey the line 'this towel is thrown' is so you that you should make sure it goes on your tombstone. call legal zoom and write that into your will.

Hell yeah
I always preferred your early stuff. Since you sold out you're terrible...

Eric this is great, your voice was always the hook. Love those chords. The drums yeah, they sound like they are off a little early 2000's beat box, but the pop sensibility makes this a bit of a classic. A touch of The Rentals maybe...
