Been noodling around with this jazzy guitar-based idea for ages and finally got around to building it up into something more coherent.

cheers and thanks for listening

Won't You Come Away

There’s something in the air
I can feel it in my bones
A clandestine affair
Kind of ‘Me and Mrs Jones’
At the same time each day
After work at Doyle’s café

So, pour a glass of wine
And tell me ‘bout your day
My dear you’re looking fine
I gotta find a better way
To spend time - with you
So listen up – here’s what we could do …..

Won’t you come away
And spend some time with me
Let’s fly away today
And who knows where we’ll be
As the night falls and stars shine
I’m yours - you’re mine

Nice feel to this ... like the guitar and doubled vocals are working nicely. I recognize the GB drum loop ... it works great with the feel you've created. The flute suites the tune ... enjoyed the way you ended it.

thanks ...
for the thumbs up. Yeah I always wanted to make use of that drum loop (labelled as 12/8 time whatever that means!). Of all the software instruments in GB the flute sounds relatively authentic to me.

Very nice
Laid back guitar and vocals sound really good on the well constructed rhythm section. Like it! Real nice ending too.

Notice from your bio we're from the same place! And maybe about the same age too, if you got your first guitar in the late 60s, as you say. I moved to New Brighton. Like the sea air!

Cool jazzy groove. Warm vocal. Nice cut to the chords from the rhythm guitars. I like the lines the fuzzy guitar lead plays, and letting it have a bit more space by taking out some of the backing works well. Neat ending! Much enjoyed.

Born and bred in Liverpool and like most kids from that place got my first guitar as a young teenager (in the late 60s). I've been dabbling with a guitar or two ever since and couldn't imagine life without one. I've never had any musical training (pr... [see more]
