Lyrics
Verse 1
Time I spent with you
Was too good to be true
Life meant something
Even when we had nothing
Think back to the days
Sitting alone you'd say
Hold me tight I
Never could see through your lies

And now

Chorus 1
Whoa why'd you have to
Go I should have known You'd be the only
One Who could leave my
Heart as heavy as stone To-
Night Regrets flood my
Mind I'm left to think of all the reasons
Why I never did
Try so assume that I don't
Care But listen to me
This is just how it's supposed to Be (1st beat of next measure)

Verse 2
Trust I never knew
I'd fall so hard for you
Craziness here
And that's when we would go there
That bridge in the park
So quiet after dark
Now I'm here, lost
Wondering, where have you gone

And now

Chorus 2
Whoa why'd you have to
Go I should have known You'd be the only
One Who could leave my
Heart as heavy as stone To-
Night Regrets flood my
Mind I'm left to think of all the reasons
Why I never did
Try so assume that I don't
Care But listen to me
This is just how it's supposed to Be (1st beat of next measure)

Bridge: Piano Part
Screaming, screaming
But there's no sound
Falling, falling
But there's no ground

Bridge: Heavy Part
Just one more chance
That's all I need
I forgive you
Now forgive me

Chorus 3
Whoa why'd you have to
Go I should have known You'd be the only
One Who could leave my
Heart as heavy as stone To-
Night Regrets flood my
Mind I'm left to think of all the reasons
Why I never did
Try so assume that I don't
Care But listen to me
This isn't how it's supposed to Be(1st beat of next measure)

How it's supposed to be
I like the backing a lot. Those heavy guitars contrasted with the lightness of the piano and the warmth of the strings should make for a very powerful song with the right vocals. Clean recording and good mix. I like what you've done and would be interested to hear where it ends up.

This is great through headphones and I find myself singing a rubbish improvised melody along to this, pretending I'm some great rock singer LOL!
Hope to hear a finished version sometime :-)
