Slow, gentle tune with a horn-like main theme. This has taken me a while and I'm still unsure of the mix really, as ever. I've used a variety of soft synths: three Zebra 2 tracks, two Omnisphere, one Alchemy and one from the free Zampler. That's it!

Hope you can like it and thanks for stopping by. :-)

Chilled out.
Nice tune Dave. There were parts where I was drifting off into my "Welcome to the machine" state of mind. Relaxing stuff.

My kinda soundscape...beautiful colors in a wide field...extended melody line adds time, space, and distance...also the flava of comfort and security to this journey...so perfect is the title, I'm smilin' ear 2 ear my friend....:):):)peace

Hi Dave.....
Nice title. Great theme, great Ambient piece. The mix, as is, works OK for me. The length is the only thing I'd change. Multiply it by three and add ten more minutes. Ha ha. Just sayin'.

Maybe an experimental piece next 'Gove - The Arse'?

Take care.

A very relaxing treatment of sounds for your soothing soundscape. The gentle horn like sound reminds me of daybreak or a calm lake in the early morning. Great job :)

It makes sense that the sounds are really good looking at the syths you chose. Good choices and well made.

A call
to prayer or an homage to the beauty of life. What I'd love to hear as I gazed out at the stars at night. Very grand.

Music for...
when all is well. The voice voice(?!) is telling me Brian Eno (Music for Airports 1/2), but you make this your own with the horn voice. Very nice mix, much enjoyed. Thanks for the download :-)

Take care,

The opening alone tells us this sits right on the top shelf. I love love love the voices. Beautiful melody lines, and a gorgeous swirling backdrop. Ah, serenity. The title says it all.

Instrument with so much mid frequencies are always a bit tricky. I put an eq on them, trying to tame that range, and then again scoop some of that range on the master.

Lovely piece. Very restful.

Great collection and song
You have some great synths here - I love this piece. The vocal sounding samples in particular hit very well. I lust after Zebra (and Diva which is beyond my Core2Duo) - maybe someday :). Very well mixed - every frequency seems to come through well.

This piece deserves a second listen and maybe a third before commenting.
There is something very "white" and futuristic about this piece. It wouldn't be lost in S. Kubriks 2001 a Space Odyssey. It is soft on the ears and massages the brain. Beautiful and Zen like.

very austere
I could fall asleep to this, and I mean that in the best of ways. I think that at times some of the soft synth could come up in the mix, but then again, I like it the way it is. Good stuff.

Pacing is everything
and you take care of that business in good style. Very well-paced track that spins itself out without a rush and in such a peaceful manner. Small suggestion: put the horn a bit further back in the mix and give it a bit more reverb. As it is, it sounds a little like a plug-in (which it is) and not completely organic to the accompaniment. Don't know if I've explained that very well, but I hope you understand what I'm getting at. I think I'd just like to hear the horn at a little more distance. I am really glad to be hearing such a peaceful instrumental this afternoon, far from the screaming.

Audible peace
Late to the party :( This is gorgeous Dave. Your selection of sounds is perfect, and the horn is an unexpected surprise. You've achieved a great deal of variety with relatively few tracks and the gentle caress of these tones is like coming home in a warm sunset after a long sail.

Very well put together with tasteful sensitivity to the evolution of the piece. You have a number of the thematic choices that re-appear throughout which gives the music structure and some familiarity as we progress to the soothing conclusion.

All is well indeed. Brilliant Dave.
