Minuet from the "Fireworks Music" - G. F. Handel

I haven't done any Handel in a long time; come to think of it, I haven't done any Baroque music in a while, either. So, here's a rather scaled-down version of the final movement from Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks." By 'scaled-down', I mean I basically omitted the brass, and used recorders in place of oboes. The tone is somewhat softer, but the use of sampled kettledrums and contra-bassoon give it back some of the "Martial Musick" feel that King George II loved so much.
That's pretty much it...

::Instruments Used::
Soprano recorder
Alto recorder
Tenor recorder
Sampled theorbo
Sampled kettledrums
Sampled contra-bassoon

I'm enjoying your treatment of this piece, and the senses your recorders and strings stir. Thanks for dl!

Sparklers instead of rockets
This reduced version comes together really well. Recorders carry the tune with grace, and if it has the feel of a royal ball rather than an outdoor spectacular, you Handel the dance beautifully..
