When You Came Along (2012 reworking)

Description
A reworking of my song "When You Came Along" posted a few years back. I had originally intended just to spruce it up but ended up recording all the guitars again, changing the chorus, completely re-recording the vocal and changing the melody line and chorus. I think the only original part left is one small guitar part on the left and the bass.
I've been listening to Sugar's "Copper Blue" a lot lately (remastered and re-released on Merge Records) and Bob Mould's style was certainly on my mind when I recorded these vocals. I'm quite pleased with how raucous this has turned out.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's in the south of the UK in an Irish family. I had always loved music but was never given an opportunity to explore making it for myself. About 10 years ago I bought an acoustic guitar and began strumming in earnest. To d... [see more]
