I believe in the permanence of the firmament
Circuitous paths and perpetual patterns
In your image, I traced constellations
Our place was assured among the stars, we were destined for heaven. Together.

I couldn’t have guessed, and I can’t accept it
You welcomed another into our garden.
He can’t be your one love, I am your true love
And star-crossed lovers can’t override the power of destiny
And star-crossed lovers can’t survive the fate I see so clearly

As sure as the Earth is flat
And Elvis is coming back
You’ll never love anyone as much as me
It’s foretold in the Zodiac,
The fates have ordained our love relapse
Until then I’ll be the one that got away

Every time I look to the stars, they remind me
Patience is a small price to pay for eternity

So I wait and I swear
You can hear the fateful whisper
I’ve seen that look in your eyes, I’ve seen that look in your eyes
But never as deep as when you looked in mine
They never shine like when you looked in mine

Is the bass picked?
There is some clicking that was hard for me to pickout. I really like this, and it's probably something natural I grabbed onto. String clicking maybe. Love the way you switch from the megaphone FX to full voice. Nice dynamic arrangement. Ups and downs. Great vox. Nice mix. Epic guitar harmonies.... I digit!

Yup, I picked the bass, and that might be what you're hearing. As far as the drums, I did bring them up in the mix, but i think the effects I used make them hard to pull up much. I guess I need to pull everything back a little more to let them stand out without clipping. Thanks for the comments on the arrangement, vocals, guitar harmonies, etc.

the lyrics, especially as sure as Elvis is coming back!

Well put together track. Sounds assured and convincing as a rock tune.

Like the quieter sounds, too.

Good lyrics and I particularly dig the vocals
cool guitarwork.
Drums could be a tad louder indeed

I Like the
melody but I think your vocals sounded so much better at the end - I would have kept the whole song like that instead of the sound like coming out of a megaphone. Trust in your vocal ability - if you go that way I'm sure you'll go far.
