Description
Story about me ending two relationships at once. I ended a 6-year relationship with my girlfriend and on the same day another pootential relationship. I had already broken up but was still eventually seeing my ex-girlfriend when a new relationship started to happen. I was feeling dragged into both of them. I had to break away from both of them. Hard days when you just have to drink up Cachaça!

Lyrics
Terminei um longo namoro hoje
e um outro que estava para comecar
porque nao vou cometer os mesmos erros hoje
e comecar o que acabo de terminar

Terminei meus dois namoros hoje
dificil ate de comentar
so sei que terminei hoje
e hoje a agua e cachaça

Hoje agua e cachaça
Hoje agua e cachaça
Hoje agua e cachaça
hoje agua e cachaça

English Translation:

I ended a long relationship today
and another one that was about to start
because I will not make the same mistakes today
if I ended, why the hell start?

I ended my two relationships today
it's even hard to talk about
But I know it ended today
and today water is cachaça

Today, water is cachaça
Today, water is cachaça
Today, water is cachaça
Today, water is cachaça

Have two for me (whatever cachaça is)
and maybe you'll feel better in the morning. Sorry about your relationship problems but they seem to have inspired a rather nice piece. I couldn't really understand the lyrics but I think they are in Portugese so it wouldn't matter (to me, anyway) if you posted them. Cool, mellow tune.

Thanks. Lyrics on
Thanks Richard, really appreciate it.

Cachaça is a brazilian alcohol drink made of sugar cane... could be compared to tequila... strong stuff!!

I added the lyrics.. let's get the mellow sadness out there! :-)

All the best to you!

Cachaça
I quite liked this, Lee. The understated arrangement works well and I always find it interesting to hear songs sung in a language I don't understand. Possibly the vocals could have been up just a bit in the mix? Thanks for the post. Regards, Peter.

Almost a mantra
This repeats melodically and harmonically like a mantra, and I suppose the lyrics also lend themselves to that kind of repetition. On that level, this works hypnotically...The ending was just...cut off. Perhaps a long fade would work for you. Vocal is awfully buried in the mix. I would suggest bringing it more toward the front. I don't really "get" the lyric "Today, water is cachaca."

Thanks
Hi Paul, thanks for your comments and suggestions. I agree 100%. The lyrics is about breaking up a relationship.. when I'm saying " today water is cachaca " means that the person will drink a lot that day... he will have cachaca (alcohol drink) for water (... instead of water). It is a play with words... Thanks again and all the best!
