I think the question is
where did this come from? It's pretty impressive. The initial synths are a bit cheesy, but it grows into something monumental.

where am i?
i would certainly not call the initial synths "cheesy" (or anything like that) - however i do agree that this grows into something truly monumental. you have such remarkable and wide-ranging talent across so many genres. this is terrific - thanks for the treat!

where indeed
Talk about a build! Just when I think the bus is full there's something else that fits and can be heard too. This is very cool Bill - it's like standing in the middle of a busy intersection with cars zooming all around me. So much going on and yet there is a pattern and an effective balance between order and chaos that keeps things really interesting.

Not cheesy... Retro... :)
Feels like one of those old 80s first person video games where you're going on a quest or adventure and this is the soundtrack... Gets pretty epic and busy. Loved the little short intermezzo then BAM! I kept wondering how it would end, and when it did what I guess it was going to, I was very satisfied. :)

Hello Bill
The opening reminds me of a record by the "Mind Expanders". One of my all time favorites and on Dot records of course...
If the piece is connected with the visual reference, one must assume this is a naturalistic piece? Perhaps more natural sounding voicing, especially in the percussion would be more supportive?
Thanks for continuing to post your material, you are always the Chief!

Just keep rolling along
it's all good and often a rewarding challenge - but never tedious - that takes a lot of skill and compassion. and good ears too.
