This is a song by my French friend Hugo. I added the guitars. some keys and sort of mixed it, but with a very loud kick sorry.... Not sure if this song is going anywhere, I will leave it alone for a while and maybe go back in to liven it up, it needs a revamp, so this might be a work in progress, or, lost in space tune.

the name of this song must be an attempt at self deprecating humor because this is anything but. so let me tell you what i like about this tune. the fretless bass sound is great - don't know how you did that but who cares, it sounds awesome. the guitar touches are appropriately delicate for the vibe of the song. in fact your guitar stylings seem to have softened in your last few posts. some soul searching taking place? always a good thing. then the etherial feminine voice is the perfect addition. i don't understand a lot of what is being sung at the beginning which works just fine for me - i enjoyed the mystery of this mysterious piece. i love to hear your music steve, thank you for all your hard work, which evolves with each offering.

Excellent, felt at home with this one. Right from the first bar. Atmospheric waves of your guitars to keep me a float with. The touches of voices are a just right for the recipe of coolness. Total chill track. D/L

don't liven it up. It sounds like something from Cirque du Soliel because of the vocal. Can you picture one of those jugglers or acrobats getting into preposterous positions while throwing pomegranates into the air? I can. You are treating this very gently and it works. Pretty sensuous across the entire piece. Thank you.

I don't kind the kick.
It sets forth an inexorable groove, solid presence, and plodding sense of movement. There is a lot of quiet intensity in the arrangement, and lots of subtle, nuanced "ear candy" touches. Eminently enjoyable in every regard. I wouldn't change a thing. Big fan!!

This has so many elements to it. The backing, the vocals; all very mystic.

sleeping beauty
Man, this already sounds complete, round and breeding children from her lovely breasts. A song is never finished though. It would be great to hear what you have in mind for a revamp, but this is enchanting just as is.
Kick may be louder than usual but doesn't distract, quite the opposite effect, somehow it draws me down to the texture and the nuances. I wouldn't notice it was loud if you didn't mention it. Well, I like loud drums, you know that...
So happy to find a new tune from you my friend.

Beautifully restrained and eerily moody. I reckon it definitely has legs. Char nailed it - Cirque du Soliel

Very nice!
I like the lovely atmospheric vibe and a nice intro with some great sounds that are so well produced. The fretless bass is a lovely instrument and it always makes a great addition to any song and it sounds superb here.
I love music like this and this was very much enjoyed.
Excellent work.

ZZzzzzz.. ;)
just kiddin'... :) I think this is very complete as it is Steve. Just enough tasteful variety all the way through. Personally I would have considered bringing the main female vocal lines in a bit earlier.. a touch of 'Cranberries' in her voice is appealing. Hmm maybe a little accordion might work well with that upright bass in spots (while adding a touch more French Noir/Avant Garde ambience?).

Honestly, I think the kick is fitting.
I never get sick of eeriness. This is plum full of eeriness.

The falsetto vocals are awesome.

The transition at about 4:30 is great.
