time/space (Belated Space Race 2013)

Can you see me
Staring at you from across the cosmos
Peering through time
Reaching through space
Until I touch your mind
And find it is the soul
Of my own reflection

we drift along through the cosmos like water flowing down the side of a mountain ever quenching the dry ground below finding the cycles of our lives weaving in and out of eternity placing us in the way of time and at the threshold of space until we fall and rise again

Searching for faces
Drift along the stars

Mirror our emotions
In the sky up above

Whisper in the darkness
Can my voice be heard

We seek inspiration from any source but ourselves never wanting to feel like we’re the only ones who can possibly understand the universe around us as it takes away our sight and closes off our ears as we try to comprehend the enormity of eternity

See beyond tomorrow
Back to yesterday

Are we all alone now
A heart without a home

Better late
Than sorry, and I'm happy you posted this, to crown this year's great SRC. Really nice track that I need to listen to many more times to let it sink in.

Thanks for the DL and take care,

Really good actually. Lovely twinkling/glowing pads and a cool cosmic pulse in the background. The piano in very nice. Very soothing right now; I drank too much beer last night!

Expanding universe, expanding mind
The backing track is a perfect build to ease us into the contemplative state your spoken lyrics suggest. It's big space but not overwhelming, colourful but not garish, and totally relaxing. Nice one!

Mellow, Floyd-tinged opening that calms the soul. The transition to the subtle piano is very well done. It is a very tranquil piece of music that I enjoyed listening to. Thanks, Peter..

very nice
mellow and 2001 space odyssey. I agree about the piano being perfect within it. However, I heard from the Neutrinos and they state they don't sing they hum -electrons sing (albeit negatively...). Neutrinos prefer to remain neutral and therefore do not commit to words -only to humming. And don't even ask about tachyons -they're always late but claim they got there before you started and left because you weren't there in time.

Your easy invitation to listen makes this track go down like a cool glass of water o. A scorching day. We are afloat in the tones, in the voice, in the ideas. A kind of minimalist meets guided meditation. Nice!

Major 7th....
I love that opening chord. The cosmos seems to open up peacefully and with great hope as you rock between these two opening chords, nicely pulsing with breath slightly underneath them. ... I cannot understand (or hardly even hear) the words, so I am wondering if that was somehow your intention or if it just didn't come through the mp3 correctly. Seems like these words would be quite important to the whole purpose of the song.)
Oh, and I, too, like the subtle piano around 2:18 or so.

Are we human? Do we exist? Do we have a physical presence? Reality surrounds us, but, within that reality, we have our own realities in which we exist and thrive. We live in both simultaneously and therefore each are two people ... [see more]
