Curry Soup (Jack sitting in with Johannes)

 Genre: Acoustic

Johannes Curry recorded an excellent acoustic guitar piece, I think in 2006. Sometime after that I put it in GarageBand and added my harmonica. I can find no evidence that it was ever posted. The reason, I think, was due to losing all my GBand files at one point in 2006. All I had left was an mp3 mix down into iTunes which I just came across. Totally had forgotten about this one.

So here is Cori Ander aka Johannes Curry with his amazing acoustic guitar and me along for the ride with my harmonica in a fun light bluesy jam session...

Curry Soup 2014
A curry from 2006 eh? I was disinclined to try it but it is still as fresh at a daisy. Unless those green things in the picture were meat to start off... :-) Lovely resonant guitar and some tasty harp. Now what's for main course? Thanks, Peter.

This reminds me of so much
So glad you digged this up. Getting inspired .. makes me wanna to come back to MJ and post things. Imagine ... ! ... eight years ago.... Getting not so little nostalgic.

Things change. I don't have that Yamaha nylon stringed guitar any longer. Neither that Yama AG Stomp. Neither the PowerMac G4 Quicksilver "wind thunnel" used for the recording.

By that time, eight years ago, I was living maybe more at MJ than at home. Engrossed. And the kind of net friendship that evolved with you and other MJers, from sharing and talking about each others songs, was so very special – something iv'e never experienced somewhere else.

And as a coincidence, just today found that thoddi posted a new song, 'It's been a long time', his first since december 2011.

Thank you Jack

Such a surprise...
... to find this in my list of iTunes songs. I had completely forgotten about it and never posted it, at least as far as I can remember. I always wanted to do a collaboration with you. Now I have! Thanks for being so generous with your music and for being such a great MJ friend!

Curry soup
Love the rolling lines of the guitar and the harmonica adds character - all the right ingredients for a fine brew here!

Great collab
I'm sure you know there's coriander in curry soup - but just thought I'd mention it. Killer licks from you both - kudos and jam on!

Curry is a master of his craft indeed and you sir, do a fine job on that harp as well. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

Front porch blues
You guys were clearly having a good time and we get to be the beneficiaries. Nice harp work and of course Mr. Curry lays down a great bed to play on.

Sadly and increasingly over the last several years, MacJams has become a dysfunctional shell of its former wonderful self. So the time has come. After 14 mostly good years of making and enjoying music here, I'm signing off. Thanks to so many and the ... [see more]
