You can hear it in the melody
opened eyes what can you see
its where ill be

you can feel it in the melody
you combed your hair as you came to me
why cant you see

Captured light moving in the dark
we feed it through our broken hearts
for us too see

I hear a voice across the sea
floating softly in a world with thee
for eternity

Flashing lights i saw across the sea
scattered memorys of a broken dream
its so hard for me

but you always seem so far away......

The backing is a good blend of warm and sparkly. I like the lyrics and the delivery - the double vocal works well. I might have added another acoustic guitar doing a lead line in the section from around 3:06 to 3:36, just to see what that sounded like, but I do like things the way they are here. Good one!

First off
I listened twice and downloaded.... It is a lovely song as is. Really nice work. The thing that popped into my mind as I listen was " this would do work with some female harmony" . Big fan of Buckingham/Nicks early work and some of the enjoyment of their vocals. It opened up the scope of the work. A good example of that here is by MJ artist Pablatone and his multi collab. "Willow" ..... Enough of my ramblings..... Really Nice Track.

Picked up a Moody Blues style vibe with the gentle, layered vocals and the thematic nature of the lyrics. Perhaps some harder edge electric guitar riffing from about halfway through to give it a greater dynamic? Enjoyed the post. Thanks, Peter.

Much enjoyed
Sort of prog folk? Enjoyed the metronome "clock ticking" beat as a counterpoint to the busier guitar. The vocals sound superb. In fact it's probably one of the most enjoyable I've heard since returning to MJ this year.
