Music for an exhibition about WWI.

This is the final score pre mix - so nothing is balanced but its all pretty much in the right place. Taking a break for a few days before I begin mixing next week so any feedback welcome.

Exhibition of WW1
Wonderful. The second movement sings. Exactly how the music relates to the exhibition is the next question. Compelling listening.

Glad you like it Daug. The exhibition tells the story of the 41 men from the small english village where I live who died during WWI - (During the second movement a bell chimes 41 times). It will be played as part of other background music while people walk round the exhibition and it will be sold on CD with the money going to charity.
Listening to it with fresh ears this morning (I finished it at 2am last night!) it is all there but there's a lot of mixing to do to get everything to sit right and have its own space.

Awesome Notion
My hat is off! Fantastic project from the notion, the visual artists had better have done their work! The music is gonna be there! Thanks for sharing your work here with us!

Poignant, deeply felt and totally immersive, Nigel. The sweet, melodic piano lines carry you along. I am sure it will mix down into something really special. It sounds thoroughly engaging already. The snare drum sounds a touch boxy? A massive undertaking. In awe. Thanks, Peter.

Thats great feedback Peter. You're right about the snare - there is a LOT of work to do on the percussion to make it work. I'm mixing next week so I'll share the finished results on friday.
