Description
Song sung by our boys, ages 10 and 14, for Mother's Day 2015. They saw it for the first time and recorded it the day before Mother's Day. To motivate the lads I may have hinted that we'd be returning them to the nearest Dickensian work house if they did not do a good job, one that was not nearly as posh as the one Oliver Twist. I conducted/directed their performance while holding my trusty whip and lion-tamer's chair, both purchased on-line from the Barnum & Bailey Novelty Store. They did a pretty good job, so they are still with us, for this week at least.
1. We'd like to sing a little song about our mom,
Her love for us is warm and so strong,
She always finds a way to chase our blues away,
There's no one that compares with our mom.
2. Our mom is without doubt completely awesome,
She calls us names like duck, and even possum,
And sometimes we're dillies, which sounds kind of silly,
We'll always be treasures to her.
She likes to decorate our house according to the season,
Her hair is sometimes green or blue, for no apparent reason.
3. So we want to say how much we really love her,
We'll always feel that way about our mother,
She always finds a way to chase our blues away,
There's no one that compares with our mom!
