Another live one from my Jamming With Jack gig at the Californian Convalescent Hospital. This is number 7 that I've Uploaded. 'Break It To Me Gently' was first recorded by the female country/pop singer, Brenda Lee, in 1962. I always enjoy performing this one as it's a fun song to sing. Hope you enjoy...

Break it to me gently
Let me down the easy way
Make me feel that you still love me
If it's just, if it's just for one more day

Break it to me gently, so my tears, my tears won't fall to fast
If you must go then go slowly, let me love you till the last
The love we shared for oh so long is such a big part of me
If you must take your love away take it gradually

Oh oh break it, break it to me gently
Give me time, oh give me a little time to ease the pain
Love me just a little longer, 'cause I'll never, never love again
'Cause I'll never love again

Nicely done Jack
Maybe try getting the vocals up a bit more in the mix, and using the reverb on both the vox and the guitar. Brave to be doing stuff live - congratulations!
Cheers from Oz,

Thanks, Neil
The vocal and guitar were recorded together as one track with the H2. The problem with balance is owed to the mis-placemnent of the H2 vis-a-vis the amp and the guitar. I hadn't tested it out. Not much that I know to do to improve this post, although a little more reverb on the whole thing is a good idea. As it is, you should have heard the balance before I did some EQ-ing. The vocal in this post, though not up enough, is more up front than the original.

I miss playing live. Nothing like it. It was my early years. This live gig with the many songs I've uploaded (more to come) was a nice reprise...
- cheers

nice and faster...
Don't know how "healing" the music was for the folk at the Californian, but they seemed to enjoy it. I think I got as much if not more from seeing them perk up, smile, and occasionally sing along.
Thanks again my friend...
