Lyrics
For You To Decide

so your mind is racing, you’re under the gun
someone is yelling, we’ve got to get this done
we are all trying, this is no longer fun
we are always chasing the setting sun

time is failing
dinner is waiting
time just lingers
flowers are wilting
tomorrow is waiting
today is stalling
waiting and waiting
for you to decide

everyone is impatient, we want everything now
got to admit you’re going to have a cow
how am i going to get there, will i slow down
will i find myself in the lost and found

time is failing
dinner is waiting
time just lingers
flowers are wilting
tomorrow is waiting
today is stalling
waiting and waiting
for you to decide

life is getting shorter day after day
when am i going to go, how long have i got to stay
so your mind is racing, you’re under the gun
we are always chasing the setting sun

time is failing
dinner is waiting
time just lingers
flowers are wilting
tomorrow is waiting
today is stalling
waiting and waiting
for you to decide

For You To Decide
Exciting opening. Love the guitar sounds. The performance is full of energy. Thought-provoking lyrics. Good one, Vic!

I
liked the sonics of the song--full wo being crowded. I think this would be awesome as a live jam.

the cool thing is i didn't have to do much mastering on this piece. i did want it to sound more live then staged.

You're one of the masters...
...of guitar sonics around here, and even so, I think this is one of your best guitar outings...

I think this is one where using a Lennon-esque ADT sound on the vocal would be pretty neat...I think it would suit the guitar arrangement and the track generally...

I think you phrase your guitar playing melodically and shift it around and over the beat. I think it would be cool if you played with some of your vocals the same way, so that they aren't quite so tied to the beat; I think you'd get more of a 'soaring' vibe...

I like the lyrics, the 'going to have a cow' line especially...

vocal melody - i agree. i tried a few things that did'nt work out so well. so i went along with the immediacy of the song. although i am still on the fence about the vocals... maybe on a snowy day when i'm stuck in the house i might give it another attempt.

nice mix and cool tune
A lot of intricate changes through out. Grabs the listener, I'm fully involved, especially the break into lead. Enjoyed.

the song structure came together in one evening. that breakdown took some practice for fingering, it's a little more complex then it sounds

Groovy!
If I could ever write rock 'n' roll, I'll use you as my master mentor. What a drive you have here. I don't usually focus on the percussion line, but I did here for some reason. ... And your guitar licks, esp. in the bridge, are really superb. How exciting to be able to play this kind of music with such abandon. Stellar!

The music is really dramatic from the intro onwards. Tend to agree with Ed on the vocals though.Go for it on that snowy day in the house!!

The setting sun
... Unless, of course, you are a morning person; then you are always chasing the rising sun (and breakfast is waiting) : )

I like the opening. And those guitar textures and tonalities. And the unusual structure of having little riffs come at the end of the second and then the third lines. I'm thinking it ends a little abruptly and perhaps it should more mirror the opening?

not a bad idea on the mirror ending. i had it set like a live ending without the mini drum solo. :)

Your guitar work never ceases to amaze me. At the same time you get a thick but still detailed sound. Another good song for your catalogue.

Cool tune - effective use of delay to create grooving rhythm, and I like the way you mix it up with the clean chorused guitar. Nice solo - enjoyed this Vic - nice work!

It's been a yelling kinda year. I was grabbed immediately by that terrific frenetic guitar line and a clarity of sound that I wish I could get. Almost missed this one. Glad I didn't.
