Description
I've been wanting to arrange this for a long time. In English known as "Oh holy night", this is originally a French song, also known as "Minuit, Chretiens".

I'm
a bit Scroogy when it comes to Xmas tunes, but I like the 'feel' of your version. It goes beyond the holiday mood, and into 'just listen.'

Cantique de Noel
Pretty tune. I like the way the flutes dance around each other.

Around each other
I didn't mention this in the description, but as a challenge to myself I decided to score this for 3 identical recorders. Given the relatively limited range of the recorder this means that I had to be fairly creative in scoring, since there is only so much space between the melody (which has to be on top) and the lowest available note on the instrument. Using three different sizes I would have had much more room to spread out the sound.

I have to say
that you have have given me more respect for the humble recorder.

Wonderfully arranged and played.

Now can you do the same for the Jews harp?

Cheers

Dick
